Will tool palettes on AutoCAD for Mac ever work like the PC version?

Hey folks,

I'm demoing the newest release of AutoCAD for Mac.  So far I'm pretty happy, however, the biggest challenge that I'm running into is creating and using tool palettes.  I guess I don't understand why the process of creating them and how they function has to be so different between Mac vs. PC.  I would love to switch to the Mac versions but this is a huge issue for me.  Perhaps I don't understand the process completely?

Has anyone had any success in creating tool palettes that function the way they do in the PC version?

Thanks!

@Anonymous,

I don't know if future releases of AutoCAD for Mac will be word for word the same as the PC version. The two operating systems are different.

With that said have you left this feedback in the beta program and or the product feedback sites?

What type of palettes are your trying to build?  I'd be happy to help and look into it further for you.

Hi @Anonymous,

Are there specific questions you have regarding this issue? I assume you are referring to the Content Palette. If not, please clarify so that I might provide additional resources to you.

On the MAC you need to totally forget about how Windows versions did things. They are and will remain two different processes especially since CONTENT PALETTE on the mac version has been around since day one for that variant.

Do you need help using Content Palette? let us know where and how you are getting stuck using it.

I think OP is referring to the new Toolsets palette and it's customization.
