Hi everyone,
I suddenly encountered this problem when viewing and saving to pdf: a kind of hatch fills my whole paper. I'm a first year architecture student so I'm still figuring out how this program works.
Thank you!

Are you in paperspace, not the MODEL tab by chance?
Or if that is a screenshot of your PDF, it looks like you have a transparent background set.

Hi @Anonymous
Welcome to the forums.
What AutoCAD release are you working with ACAD LT or ACAD ? 2015,2016?
Have you applied all the updates for AutoCAD?

I checked and I'm in paperspace.
If my background is indeed transparent, which settings should I use to change it to "normal"?

I'm using ACAD 2015, and all the updates have been applied but I'm still getting the same problem. ![]()

I think providing a file will help.
Also I'm assuming this is happening with all files even if you start a brand new file?

Which application you are using to open PDF file?
After I have thoroughly reviewed your screenshot, I have the impression that you open a PDF in raster editing application - probably in Photoshop. Am I correct?
If yes, than this explains everything. When you import PDF, created in AutoCAD to Photoshop, it eliminates "paper" layer from PDF and you see only graphics objects.
Have you tried to open your PDFs in Preview app? Or in Adobe Illustrator?

Hi everyone!
I finally was able to fix the problem. I opened the file in preview, and went to view->show document background and the problem was resolved! ![]()
