AUTO CAD LT 2016 for Mac - Files with suffix

I am working from "Apple Cloud"  Every time a save a drawing auto cad creates a file with a suffix and it becoming a cluster the problem is that I am not the only one working in this file I got to the point that I can even have 100 of files! is there anyway that I can keep this from happening? See attached Screen Shot below.

Thank you

DWL files are normal while you have a file open and should do away when you close out of the file if your "apple cloud" allows AutoCAD to do so: are you really getting upset because of two temporary files that appear for every file you have open?
Or are you talking about something else more serious and more problematic not mentioned yet?

The problem is that they are not two they could be hundred depending on the size of the project and they are not temporary they stay there and begin to clutter my folder with bunch of files with suffix. Do you think it may be because I have all my files in the Cloud?

Thank you

They stay only because AutoCAD is unable to delete them due to restrictions imposed at the file locations: that must change to them to disappear again. One culprit may be a loss of sync between your PC and your "apple cloud".
Another may be folder rights: you're log-in does not allow for read/write/delete/rename. Another: an over-aggressive 'versioning' feature that hangs on to deleted content.

You cannot turn off DWL files: it's a feature of the program outside of your control.

Note: you need to be posting in the MAC forum, not here in the Windows forum: users there may have more tips to offer you https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/autocad-for-mac/ct-p/3011

Hi,

It is knowing issue with AutoCAD and iCloud Drive. Ant it is not resolved with the last Update.
So you need to avoid to work with drawings placed to iCloud Drive.

I had the 'bright idea' to copy the iTunes folder to iCloud to have the same library in two Macs, and also have the same problem "the files with suffix" so think its not an autocad problem maybe iCloud any ideas?? Captura de pantalla 2017-02-11 a las 22.01.13.png

Another thing if you disable bak files "isavebak=0" the problem disappear but of course you don't have bak files. :cara_de_decepción:

Also thanks for sharing your workaround. Have you tried using a different cloud based storage as another temporary fix?
