I would look into a virtual machine :http://forums.augi.com/showthread.php?16879-Running-a-virtual-PC-on-a-Mac-for-AutoCAD-use

I don't have a mac but have had past success with other windows based programs on linux boxes using wine (https://www.winehq.org/), but cant realy help much in this regards as i haven't played with it in a while.

I might also check into http://www.autodesk.com/products/autocad-360/overview web based CAD.

Welcome to Autodesk Forums!

Hi,

While waiting for the next AutoCAD for Mac version, you may also look here:

I would also recommend trying the beta program. I have a virtual machine that runs AutoCAD as well, it's not a supported environment but for the most part it functions properly for myself.

Post back if you have any updates on your thread or any other workarounds.

Hi @Anonymous

Now with Update 4:

http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/autocad-for-mac-forum/autocad-2016-for-mac-update-4-is-here-now-it-is-compatible-with/td-p/6668489

AutoCAD 2016 is supported on macOS Sierra. You can install AutoCAD 2016 for Mac, than update it with Update 4 and use it on Sierra.

So you don't need to wait for the next version of AutoCAD.

Hi,

If your AutoCAD activation (as student version) has been reset, than you need to reactivate AutoCAD again with serial number from your Student account.

@Anonymous,

Post back if you are still unable to apply the update as student. Try the suggestion Maxim made and let us know.

Thanks.
