I tried searching for the answer, but I wasn't sure what to search for. When I am on layout2 tab and the paper view, it looks like the attached image. How do I get the cream portion to be bigger (take up more screen space)?

If you use Zoom > Extents does that help?
* Make sure the viewport is not active.

Hi John,
The "cream portion" of the Layout is the representation of paper sheet. So if you need to make it bigger, you need to select bigger paper size in the Page setup window for this Layout. If your current printing device doesn't support bigger paper sizes, than you can create Custom paper size in Page setup window and assign it to the Layout.
