sending drawings that will not open

I have sent drawings over to a customer in Mexico from the US and the drawings do not open for the customer

What may be the solution to have them open for the customer

There is a ton of info necessary to figure out your issue.

What version of ACAD to you have?  What about the recipient?  What OS do you have?  Is it just certain dwg's, or all dwg's?  Can you post one of the problem files here?

The more info you provide, the higher the likelihood that the issue will be addressed properly.

Hi,

Do you use AutoCAD for Mac?
If yes, than there is no 2017 version of AutoCAD for Mac for now.
And.... you forgot to attach problem drawings.

Hello,

Sorry it stated 2017 when the
free version was downloading - however when I had to select “for mac” I did not notice if the year changed

In order other Forum members be able to investigate your problem you need to attach files to your post here.

Unfortunately I'm not near my Mac now and cannot test your drawings right now on Mac, but I was able to open both files in CA Pockets application on iPhone. At the same time AutoCAD 370 (mobile AutoCAD) app crashes each time I am trying to open your files.
Are you able to open these files on your Mac?
Have your customer tried to use RECOVER command instead of OPEN to open your DWGs on his (her) machine?
What does he (she) see when he tried to open your files?

Thank you for your feedback, so much appreciated

Yes, I am able to open these files just fine on my mac.  I will pass your suggestion on to our customer

When the customer tries to open the files on their end. the file is accessed and the color when begins, after about 20 seconds a window opens up to indicate an error and states cannot open the file.

I would appreciate your feedback when your able to open up on your mac

Thank You,

Chrsitine

Please indicate what is the "Recover" Command, is this a key command? or a selection when opening autocad

Both of your files open just fine in AutoCAD2017 for Windows: there are no issues with them.

Did you email them to your client? Perhaps that method corrupted the files at their end. Try using a service like DROPBOX to swap files.

here are your files back I saved after using RECOVER command just in case.
