Hi @luda72

Welcome to the Forums.

I need a bit more information to better address your problem.

What product release are you using? and what are your system specs? WIN 7 , 10? Graphics card?

Has this been an ongoing problem or a new issue?

Thanks.

Your LT version is...?
Your Windows version is...?
Is this a new installation? Or new PC?
Or was it working yesterday but it's broke today?

Hi,

yes, its LT and was working this morning, shut down I think on its own and
now it's taking forever to launch. Never able to able actually open though.
Should I uninstall and reinstall?

Thank you,

Ruth

Which LT version? there are more than a dozen.
What is your Windows version?

Did you try restarting your PC? Worth trying.
Is it hanging like it's trying to open? or is there nothing on screen?
Were you in a command when it crashed?

Yes I rebooted twice and it acts the same. Just trying to open, but not
able to. So you're suggesting I uninstall and reinstall, correct? I don't
remember if I was in the middle of a command.

Hi @luda72,

It would be helpful if you answer the two questions that have been asked previously as well.

What product release are you working on ? 2015 or 2016 or 2017?

What are your system specs? WIN? Graphics card?

It helps myself as well as other community members when evaluating and troubleshooting this thread.

Thanks

If you are still having an issue with opening AutoCAD LT post back and we can continue to troubleshoot the issue.

Thanks.

I ended up uninstalling and now I'm trying to reinstall autocad but I can't because it says there is auto desk 360 running. So now I'm trying to uninstall 360 by putting in the trash but I can't do that either because it's saying that the app is open, which it is not, and I don't have the 'exit' option when I right click on the app. Very frustrating and it's been days that I haven't been able to do work.

Hi,

Here you can find how to stop autodesk 360 app from running at startup:

Hi @luda72

You could try using the steps suggested in the AKN article: How to Remove Autodesk A360 on PC and Mac

Post back should you have any other issues.

Hi,

Thank you--I was finally able to unistall and hopefully properly install.
However, on my first try opening the re-loaded program, either my internet
is down, which it is not or the Autodesk server is down. Do you know if the
server there is actually down?

Thanks,
Ruth

@luda72

The problem to connecting to the license server can happen for a number of reasons.

Autodesk servers could be temporarily down, if this was the case and it happened for a long duration of time then you would see a lot of movement within the community forums about it. For the most part the servers being down is temporary. In most cases it'll be back up and running within the day.

Other reasons could be;

  • Security vulnerability that requires a licensing hotfix
  • Network connectivity blocked by a proxy server
  • Trovi or WAJAM preventing connection to the licensing server

If this does happen again and you can't connect create a new post and we can continue to troubleshoot.

Thanks.
