AutoCAD And External Database Compatability

Hello, I have a mySql database that has a dataset I would like to graphically represent - hopefully with AutoCAD.

As a summary, I have a database field that has a flag. If the flag is 0, I would like to display a circle in a specific position. If it is 1, I would like to display a square.

Is this implementation/integration possible?

HI @Anonymous,

This kind of functionality is where AutoCAD Map is really great. In regular AutoCAD, database connectivity is possible.  Here is a link to a Tutorial on some of the functionality possible. This example uses Access but if you can create an ODBC connection then your database should work although I have tried Access myself.

Perhaps to get to your Circle zoom you can view the linked item as demonstrated. I hope this helps to get you started.

[EDIT}

I just realized this is AutoCAD for Mac. This functionality is not available on the Mac Platform. If running Windows-based AutoCAD in Bootcamp this should work fine though.

Hi,

Database connectivity is not available in AutoCAD for Mac. So you can accomplish your task only in AutoCAD for Windows.
