I'm new to AutoCAD 2015 and still getting used to these automated prompt suggestions. The one that I am really irritated with is when I select an xref and this "External Reference Visor" box pops up to suggest I make edits to it.
I don't need it and it's very distracting. Does anyone know how do disable this box from popping up?
Thanks,
Rex

Hi @Anonymous,
Welcome to the Autodesk community.
I looked into your question about the External Reference Visor. My findings were that it appears to be a as designed feature. If I didn't select the external reference in my test drawing then the visor did not populate but I am assuming you want the visor gone entirely.
Other users will be posting shortly with possible workarounds that they have come up with or their suggestions on this specific topic. I do understand your frustration and if you'd like I can escalate this thread to a case and tag it as a wish list/customer feedback item for our development team.
Let me know if you have any other questions.

Visors in AutoCAD for Mac behaves as contextual Ribbon panels in AutoCAD for Windows. But on Mac you cannot use CUI command to disable (edit) contextual Visor states as you can in Windows version.
Actually I know the way to disable External References Visor, but in order to accomplish this you need to dig inside AutoCAD application folder and edit one of the CUI files inside AutoCAD application.
