tutorials (other than videos) for AutoCAD Mac 2016

I recently upgraded to AutoCAD Mac 2016. I have searched unsuccessfully online for tutorials in pdf form or references to books. There are a number of videos, but I strongly dislike the video format and do not learn well from them. For my previous AutoCAD version I had George Omura's "Mastering AutoCAD for Mac", published 2011. As far as I can see, Mr. Omura has not produced an updated version for Mac since that one, although he regularly publishes updated books for AutoCAD PC.
1) Are there any other reference works for AutoCAD Mac 2016?
2) Are there any plans for a new AutoCAD Mac reference book from Omura/Wiley?
3) Could I use one of Omura's more recent books for PC, allowing for differences, and if so, which version would be the nearest reasonable match for AutoCAD Mac 2016?
4) Does Autodesk have any suitable, preferably downloadable and non-video reference material that I have somehow missed?

Hi @thomasll,

I had a customer who was looking for something similar last year specifically for AutoCAD on the MAC. I need to locate my list and will post back but in the mean time I have added a few links that may be helpful although they are videos there are files that can be downloaded and printed.

I am sure other users will be posting soon with their own suggestions.

Autodesk University has videos but also they have their datasets, script and PowerPoint which can be downloaded and viewed at your own pace.

Autodesk Webinars

There was a webinar done specifically on AutoCAD for the MAC. You can also download the dataset, script and PowerPoint.
What new in MAC 2016 / Mac N Cheese

AKN: AutoCAD for MAC (Text files only)

Files can be printed and saved if that helps with organizing documentation.

I don't know exactly if they will release a Mastering AutoCAD Mac but I did find Mastering AutoCAD 2016 and AutoCAD LT 2016 Autodesk Official Press, George Omura & Brian C. Benton. The book can be purchased on itunes and Amazon. Although it is for the PC this could help with identifying whats new in AutoCAD.

You can also use this site as a tool to identify and compare the two different OS environments.

What you seek does not exist: the product users don't seem to want to spend the money to support the authors, so they've all vanished.

I'm sorry I forgot to add this link. You will need to register for the AutoCAD webianrs or whatever webinars you would like to attend. You should receive a welcome email and in that email there will be information on how to access the class materials and where it is located.

Let me know once you registered for the class and receive that email. Post back should you have any other issues past that point getting the data set, script and PowerPoint.
