As mentioned in other posts, a "Classic" mode is not really possible on the Mac versions of AutoCAD. The software was created to emualte the Mac experience that other Mac programs have. With that said, if you really want a Windows interface, then perhaps you should run a Windows version in Bootcamp (A Windows partition that coexists on your Mac).
You also asked for links for information (non-AKN) so I have provided one here. Lynn Allen walks through the features and interface of AutoCAD for Mac. There are numerous videos here that might help you to embrace the software design.
