I am sorry that you are getting frustrated with these issues.

 

Let's see if we can't figure out what is going on.

 

 It appears that even though the lines look as if they are intersecting, in actuality they are not because they are drawn at different heights or planes. If you look at your ViewCube it will likely show you that you have rotated your view in some fashion and that is why the Z is appearing.

 

You should be able to select the lines, look at  Properties and reassign the Z values so they match - I assume you want them at 0

 

Go back to your ViewCube and Select the top face and I believe all your issues will be fixed.
