Object/ lines snap to bottom left of model space screen

I have been working in Autocad LT MAC OS Ex El Captain.. for several years all of my projects eventually have this issue. Every project starts from a template files I have created, but happens most in Arch D (24 x 36) and Arch E (36 x 48)..... at some point along the project all of my objects jump to the bottom left hand corner and every line I try to draft also.  It is quite frustrating and I have to constnatly turn off ob snap while working...

Any help is appreciated.   My other coworkers use these templates and don't have this issue.

Hi Kate and welcome to the Forums!

Can you please attach a sample file that exhibits this problem to your post and also perhaps a dwt file? I look forward to digging in on this issue.

This is an older project where the probelm started.  The problemis intermitten so our computer office manager cannot figure it out.  I deleted all the paper space / title blocks for our client's privacy.

Unfortuantely you have to draft for a while.  If you're trying to place a column specifically (for example) the column often jumps to the bottom left hand of the screen in model space.  Or starting to draft a new line/ polyline.

Any help is appreciated. thank you.

Hi Kate,

Unfortunately I cannot test your drawing on Mac now, but can you check please if you are using Parametric constraints?
Please check also that Infer Constraints are not enabled on the Status Bar (first icon on the right side)

Hi @Anonymous,

I am working in your drawing a bit and so far I can't duplicate the issue. Is it perhaps that I don't have all the Xref's attached? Does this make any difference in your drawing session?

Also, I found 57 errors when I performed AUDIT. Perhaps you could run this and see if your problem persists.

Please also, if possible, try to keep track of what functions you are doing just prior to this happening.

Please hit the Accept as Solution button if my post fully solves your issue or answers your question.

Sorry I forgot to bind the Xrefs!!!   This project had the issue the most consistently and now I'm not finding any issue with it... so thank you so much for trying but I don't want to waste your time until I can find a file that consistantly has the issue!

I type very quickly so I suspect its something I'm doing.  Also, we don't draft really, we bring in Architect's CAD drawings into our templates as Xref's so they are fraught with errors.

Thank you for your help- I'll be sure to repost (with erros cleaned, Xrefs bound) if I find a file with the issue consistently.

It happened today on a more recent file- see attached.  I stopped drafting right as it  happens and took a screen shot so you can see what I mean.  If I don't move a line to a precise snapping point it snaps to the bottom left of the screen.  So everytime I draft I have turn osnap on and off with F3- not a big deal but I'm curios why its happening to only me in our office. It must be a setting or drafting error.

I tried to bind all Xref's but foundation is being tricky.  When I recovered this file there were 50 errors as you pointed out with the other older file.
