I use Auto CAD LT 2016 on a Mac.
I use it for Event Plans and get sent the dwg from ordnance survey which holds the coordinates for late GPS mapping on site.
I'm struggling to plot to scale. I use to use CAD on PC and never had this issue.
In Model space parts of my drawing are measured to M as I can deal with sites that are over 1000m in width.
I can set up a viewport fine and have done so for a sample A0 paper size, to test is I did the following:
NB: I only work in 2D
Set an A0 paper size
Open a veiwport to the size
Centred on a chair on the drawing about 60cm x 30cm so that it would fit on an A0 peice of paper whole
hit 1:1 this SHOULD make the chair fit roughly on the page however my whole 600m site fits on 1 sheet of A0!
what am I doing wrong?
I have attached a drawing for you
Thanks in advance

Welcome to Autodesk Forums!
Hi,
If you setup A0 paper size for the layout, the size of the sheet should be 841x1189 AutoCAD units. So when you create viewport with dimensions 800 x1100 units and set scale 1:1 for this viewport, it will show Model space area with dimensions 800x1100 units.
Each unit in your drawing equals 1 meter, so the area you will see inside viewport will be 800x1100 metres assuming 1:1 scale.
The size of the site in your drawing is 350x350 metres, so it will be inside 800x1100 metres viewport area.

thank you so much!
As soon as I saw your reply it clicked!
So with this principle 1:500 in A3 should be set as 1000:500 in edit scale?
usually I dont have an issue as most work in mm lately though the OS have been set over as m.
I dont like playing too much in Scale incase I fiddle with the OS Coorinates!
Thanks for the speedy reply, i'll be using the forum again!
