Hi Nick,
Actually in AutoCAD for Mac you have only two options to create orthographic projection of 3D Solid:
1/ Using old fashion SOLVIEW command to create views of the model in Layout. Than you can use SOLDRAW to create flat projections from views created with SOLVIEW, This is partially automated method.
2/ Using FLATSHOT command which allows to create 2D projections and all preparations (creating views) and post processing (creating Layout and placing blocks, created with FLATSHOT to it) has to be done manually.
Unfortunately VIEWBASE command which was introduced in 2012 version of AutoCAD for Windows still is not available in Mac version of AutoCAD.
