Cannot edit acadlt.lin file in ACADlt 2013 on Mac Pro
I have been trying to create new linetypes in AutoCAD LT 2013. I edit the ACADLT.lin file by copying a linetype and editing it to make the lintype I want to create. When I try to load the new linetype, I get an error message telling me I have a bad linetype definitiion at line 145. I have tried copying the standard gas line linetype and pasting it into the ACADLT.lin file and just changing the GAS by deleting GAS and retyping it and that will then give me the same error message. If I just copy the gas linetype it will show up in the load window as a second gas linetype. It seems that typing causes some type of error.
I have tried Textedit and Text Wrangler and neither one makes any difference.
I also have draftsight and can do all this to the standard inch.lin file with no problem so I did create the new linetypes in that file. It works on all my Macs.
If I try to cut and paste the linetypes from the inch.lin file to the ACADLT.lin file, I still get the error messages. It definitely is pointing towards typing being the culprit.
Any ideas?

If there is a reference to a text style, that text style must exist.
If there is a reference to a shape file, that shape file must be available to ACAD.
Are you retyping any quote marks in the file?

Looks like line 145 should be the last line in ACADLT.lin file, so please verify that you make hard return after the last line in ACADLT.lin file and when you put cursor to the end of the file it stays on the last empty line.

that line was the new linetype, using textstyes all loaded, No matter how I type the new linetype definition, it is always a bad definition. I have attached the lin file. The linetypes are the last ones in the file under the user defined linetypes heading at the bottom of the file.

Hi Maxim,
The attached lin file is now using the hard return you docuemnted and it still has a bad definition.

It works fine here for me (AutoCAD 2016 for PC, however)
Here is your EGRESS linetype:

Maxim,
It works fine in the windows world but I cannot get it to load on my Mac Pro. I do not have AutoCAD for windows any more, only for Mac. Even if I copy it from a windows lin file it gets a bad definition error.
Anyone else out there on a Mac, can you test this lin file out to load my two line definitions at the end of the lin file? Maybe I need to reinstall AutoCAD LT on my mac? Or maybe delete a preference file that may be corrupt? I am baffled.

I'll try to test your link file on Mac little bit later today.
For now I have an additional question: which OS do you have on your Mac?

That is because linetype in your file contains RASCODE as text style in its definition.
