I have a mid 2015 macbook pro retina on OS X El Capitan using AutoCAD 2015 and wondering on how to trim lines as circled in yellow in the screenshot below. Any answers are appreciated.

Welcome to Autodesk Forums!
Hi,
You can use TRIM command and select vertical and horizontal lines as cutting edges, than hit Return and select arc tails.
If this doesn't help, you can try to use FILLET command with radius equal to the arc radius, than you don't need the original arc - just erase it.
