Technical drawing question re orthographic views & hidden lines

Hi there,

This is not strictly an AutoCAD for Mac question but I'm stuck and guessing there will be people that know the answer here so here goes ..

In an orthographic projection drawing do you indicate a web (rib) with hidden lines?

I know that you omit them in section views, but I am not sure what the correct treactment is in a plain old side or front view??

I hope its ok to ask this here and I hope someone knows and is happy to help me out !?

Thanks !!

Hi,

It all depends on the technical rules and regulations.
For example: on the facades of architectural drawings hidden lines are not shown, but on the technical drawings of parts - may be represented.

Ok cool, thank you so much !! In my case it is a technical drawing of a 'portable jigsaw' and I think that detail (the web) is relevant to convey so I will include it.  Thanks again :cara_con_una_leve_sonrisa:
