Autocad LT 2015 for Mac can't edit second drawing

We have a new employee at our company that is using Autocad LT 2015 for Mac. He can work on one drawing just fine but if he opens a second drawing he is unable to edit anything on the second drawing. I am using LT 2014 for Mac and have never had this problems. Anyone have a fix for this???

Hi,

Have he tried to reset AutoCAD on his Mac?
Is AutoCAD on his Mac updated with all Updates?

Thanks for the quick reply.

Yes he is up to date.

If he resets it will it take it back to defaults?? I dont want him to lose all his custom toolbars and key commands.

I just wanted to add that he is editing drawings that I have created on LT 2014. He can edit one drawing at a time just fine but if he has 2 open drawings the second drawing he opens can only be viewed and no commands are working.

Yes, after resetting he will loose custom commands and Tool Sets palette customization, he will not loose aliases defined in acadlt.pgp
What do you mean by "only viewed"? What happens if he will pick on Toll Sets button, or type command from the keyboard? What does he see at the command prompt?

Looks like he can only edit drawings that are saved on his computer. He was trying to edit drawings that were saved in the shared folder on our server. I will have him just copy the drawing from the server and save them to his computer when doing editing. Thanks anyway for your help.

This is a permission problem as I think.

The problem seems to have returned now even with saved drawings on his computer.

He is also having some other issues with closing drawings and shutting down autocad.

When he wants to close a drawing he has to minimize the drawing, then maximize it again before it will allow him to close it.

Also, when he quits autocad it takes up to 5 minutes for it to close and often has to be force quit to shut down.

Is this an issue with the current OS he has on his Mac or a service pack he needs to install??

Is it rental license?
If yes, than Update 3 was released to solve the issue with Force Quit on quitting AutoCAD:
