Mac LT 2015 won't quit, must force quit.

Hi Everyone,

I've got a subscription to Mac AutoCad LT 2015 and it will not close by simply clicking the close command. If I want to close the program I either have to shut down or restart my iMac in order to close it.

Is anyone else having this issue? If yes, what is the solution?

Thank you!

Hi @Anonymous,

Sorry to hear about the issue. Have you tried updating AutoCAD LT to the latest service pack? Also give updating your graphics card driver a shot.

Edit: Updated link to AutoCAD LT service pack 2

Hi Matt,

The OP asked about AutoCAD LT for Mac, but not about Maya LT.

I have the same issue, Autocad Lt 2015 for Mac won't close. I have installed all Service Packs and still have this issue of not closing properly.  This problem seems to appeared when Mac updated the OS to MacOSSierra.

I hope Autodesk resolves this issue promptly!

Thank you,

Hi @christiandeshaies,

Apologies for the trouble. Please note that AutoCAD LT for Mac 2015 is not supported on Mac OS X Sierra. Have you considered moving to the most current version: AutoCAD LT for Mac 2017, which is supported on Sierra. This should resolve your issue and is included with your subscription.

Hi, I am absolutely not interested at paying a monthly fee for a software. This is absurd and my Autodad 2015 should work with current OS X system. A group of us from California are studying the possibility to switch to another software easier to use and with no monthly fee.

Regards,

Christian

Matthew,

Some of the other members are saying the 2017 Mac version hasn't been released. I too am a Mac user. I depend on AutoCad for my business and it has been extremely challenging to work with this issue in meeting deadlines.

What is the solution here.

I have an annual subscription. Can you please verify what my options are asap?

Thank you.

Dear Alina,

If you have annual subscription, why you don't use AutoCAD LT 2016 for Mac? It is compatible with Sierra with Update 4 applied.

Hi @Anonymous,

Sorry for the confusion, the system requirements seem to have been put up.  Please use AutoCAD LT for Mac 2016 with update 4, as indicated by @maxim_k@christiandeshaies we apologize for any inconvenience. AutoCAD for Mac 2015 was originally released on the Mac OX S Yosemite in 2014. It is supported on four Mac OS X's: El Captain,, Yosemite, Mavericks, and Mountain Lion. Please note that just because a product is not supported, does not mean it will not work. Please try fully updating the product. You could also roll your OS X back to prior OS X, if you continue to have issues.
