I got a pop up that states the above. When I went to choose a replacment font, the program does not accept the change and am left with just to cancel and disregard the ability to change the font. Problem is, that when I do this, the element in the drawing is no longer 'in the drawing'.
Can anyone help?
On a similar topic, but different issue - text location on the Mac for Autocad. The AutoCad for Mac 2015 is not listing the font files I have loaded on the system. I have also directed the program to used a font location that I also placed under the support dropdown inside the preferences.
Again, can anyone assist me in finding out the cause of the issue?
Thank you,
Richard

Can you post screenshot of the alert you mentioned? Are you sure that it is about Font and not about Shape file?
Is it SHX or TTF font?

here is the screen shot. I believe the replacement I am seeking is a TTF. But I scrolled down to the bottom of the list and found the SHX files. Problem is, not all of them are listed. Why would that be?
Thank you,
Richard

I have never seen this alert on my system, because I have not changed FONTALT system variable. But you changed it for some reason.
Look at these articles - they explain how to set alternative font:
As about TTF fonts - where do you put them?
Are these fonts very old?
What do you see when you use Quick Look in Finder for these "missing in AutoCAD" fonts?
If you see something like this:
you will not be able use such fonts in AutoCAD for Mac.
