Frustrated With Palletts
The drawing palettes has disappeared. I've gone to Tools>Palettes> and checked every item. I've set all the palettes to appear as icons then changed them back to appear as palettes. What's going on?
The Number 1 problem I have with Acad / Mac is the Palettes. I've tried previous suggestions for supposedly locking the palettes in place without success. They move around, probably based on the direction of the wind, change size, and sometimes partially get hidden in the very upper reached of the screen area but can't be touched to move them.
If I could I'd go back to the PC version. I get the spinning pinwheel of death more often that I ever got the blue screen of death. By far
How do I get the draw palette back on stop the menus from moving around?

You always can use menu Window -> Reset Palettes to put them to the default position.
BTW - I don't have such issues with palettes. Are you using additional displays? Do you change display resolution frequently?
Have you tried the trick with locking profile.aws file?
It is in ~/Library/Application Support/Autodesk/roaming/AutoCAD 2015/R20.0/enu/Support/folder.

Thank you. I have the palletts back using reset palletts and have moved them where I want them.
I can't find the aws file nor do I know how to lock it. I get as far down the path as /Library/Application Support/Autodesk I do not have a "roaming" folder in the AutoDesk folder. Just an "Adim" folder and an "Adut" folder. I've tried a *.aws search with turns up nothing.
I use one monitor and do not change screen resolution.
Thanks,
C.S.

You can lock file on Mac by selecting it in Finder, than using Cmd+I to open file info window, than check-mark "Locked" option.

Thank you!!!
I had no idea "~" is somewhat similer to the C drive designation on a PC. The file is locked and the menus show up where I want them.
