CAD is running slow on mac
Hello
I am a student architecture in Belgium.
I've got a macbook pro with 8gigs of ram and I use the latest version of Autocad which I like very much.
But I noticed that Autocad is running really slow.
There are no other programs running in the background exept sketchup.
My project where I'm working on is not that big, it is 2mb. which isn't that big I guess.
In my project there are some blocks that I downloaded from bibliocad and other sites. There is also a drawing that my teacher gave me. That one is very large so I've edit it a bit. my project is 2mb INCLUSIF that teacher drawing.
Is there anyone who can help me ?
Thank you a lot !
Kind regards Emile VD (Belgium)

Hi,
Please check if you have Geometric constraints in your problem drawing. You can try to use menu Parametric -> Delete Constraints, than type All at the command prompt when AutoCAD will ask to select objects, than hit Return and test the drawing.
If the case is in constraints, then also check if you have Infer Constraints enabled on Status Bar and turn them off.

Hi Maxim
Yes I did. They are all deleted.
I've exploded some blocks. Now the problem is fixed a litle bit but not that much.

Have you tried to clean up your system? Maybe some other apps or background cause the issue. Check out this mac speedup guide and see if it helps. All apps on my Mac start to work a little faster after I clean up my hard drive once a month.
