I just switched from AutoCad Lt 2009 for PC to AutoCad Lt for Mac and having a lot of trouble -
can you get the ribbon format?
when i select more than one item - do i always have to hold the shift key - is there a way to change that?
i like to keep the snaps off and then use them for each line - can i do that ? like start a line from a midpoint and go to a perpendicular point ?
is there a good manual?

Welcome to the Autodesk Forums!
Hi Lisa,
1/ Ribbon is not available in AutoCAD for Mac
2/ You need to clear check mark "Use Shift key to add selection" in the "Cursor & Selection" tab of AutoCAD Preferences window (menu "AutoCAD LT 2015" -> Preferences
3/ You can accomplish this the same way as in PC version. Clear all running object snaps on the "Object Snaps" tab of AutoCAD "Drafting Settings" window (menu Tools -> "Drafting Settings"). than choose one of the following methods:
- use keyboard shortcuts NEA, END, MID, etc. when AutoCAD asks you to pick point
- use right click context menu "Snap overrides" which is available inside most of drafting/editing commands
- use OSNAP context menu inside drafting/editing command - you can activate it with Shift+right click or with middle click (if the system variable MBUTTONPAN=0)
- create custom buttons for object snaps on Tool Sets palette and use them when you need
4/ About manual - I think you can try this:

When using a command such as "stretch" and you are selecting objects - how do you get your window to be in ortho mode - a rectangle - as opposed to a random shaped bubble?
