How to keep palettes on 2nd display?

What's the secret to getting palettes to stay on the 2nd display? Close & re-open autocad & they move back to main monitor. Clearly this is bogus in 2015.

Hi,

Please try to search this Forum: the problem was already discussed here one year (or more) ago. I explained one of the solutions for this case.

yeah - I found those too - neither the gaps nor locking the Profile file work for us (2 computers).

Somehow I would have assumed this was pretty well built into the OS and didnt need to be re-invented...

also found that lockui command does nothing: http://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/How-to-...

Also, looking at the Profile, it seems that the palettes on the 2nd display are showing with negative numbers in their locations (see below). Perhaps that's what's not getting read back in correctly?

<Palette Name="ACAD_XREF_MANAGER">
<State Collapsed="0" Visible="1" Docked="0"/>
<FloatInfo Top="627.000000" Width="437.000000" Height="411.000000" Left="-1285.000000"/>
<Resolution Width="4480.000000" Height="1440.000000"/>
</Palette>

LOCKUI variable not a available in AutoCAD for Mac.
I have heard many times about this problem, but I never work with two displays, so I can not say anything more specific.
On the other hand, I've heard that support two displays had to be improved in the 2015 version... However, your experience clearly shows the opposite.

Hah - so glad typing the variable in didnt error message. That would have been more useful than a variable that does nothing!

I'm working on 2014 still, so will test 2015 when we can.

thanks

There are a few of other variables in AC for Mac which are only for comparability in scripts. Actually they do nothing in AC for Mac
