At first I want to mention that fields workflow is absolutely identical on Mac and on PC (with some exceptions I mentioned earlier), so we speak about fields in AutoCAD (regardless of the platform on which you use it).

 

If you are new to AutoCAD and want to use Fields in it, I think you need to learn more about fields from books, video tutorials, on-line help topics:

(I use 2013 AutoCAD help documentation, because AutoCAD for Mac 2014 and 2015 on-line help seems to me extremely poor and full of mistakes)
