At work I run an i5 with some some low end nvidia card, ( i don't recall offhand). At home, an older i7 with an RTX 3060.
NIGHT AND DAY. Any 3d simulation at work is painful. If there is surface milling, yeh go get coffee and take your time. At home, trivial.
Visually the 3060 makes it much easier to see things, especially in wireframe view.
Long story short, I do a lot of the more intensive things at home, its just less painful for me at the end of the day.
It seems that the more GPU you throw at it the better it is to use.
