OP, as I understand it, you are looking for a way to start a simulation from a certain point without having to run known good toolpaths just to get the simulation results.
What I usually do in that case (I do it rarely, because it's not a very streamlined process and unless the good toolpaths take a really long time to simulate it's usually not worth the effort) is save the simulation results as an STL, and import that back into the file to use as a stock solid on subsequent operations.
The reason I don't like this method is that FC is not capable of using different stock solids per setup, so you have to remember to change your stock between setups.
An omission in FC that would make sense but has never been implemented would be to use stock models for simulation rather than just for toolpath constraints.
