If you change the Setup orientation and/or alignment, you DO NOT have to reprogram your part. You simply need to re-simulate to generate your new code in reference to the new setup. This is one of the key benefits of programming in FC!

 

It's also worth noting that the UCS is not the same thing as the setup. I see this confusion frequently, and to be fair, we've done a poor job of delineating the two in the software. 

 

The UCS is the 'User Coordinate System'. This has no effect on NC Code and is simply a coordinate system used as a reference for geometry, curves, solids, etc. on your part. 

 

Setups, by contrast, contain additional information such as the fixture ID and the name of the NC program that is generated. Each feature belongs to a Setup. Think of setups as the 'G54' of your program. It's worth noting that each setup automatically has a UCS associated with it, that carries the same position and alignment by default.
