So what is happening to PartMaker? It seems to have all but disappeared - other than becoming a part of FeatureCAM Ultimate. I got it for Swiss turning, and the milling part was nice, but not essential. Now it looks as though that has been turned upside down. How is our Delcam license going to transition to Autodesk, or is it? Will this be a "perpetual license", or do we need a "subscription" to get new versions? What do those terms mean exactly? Our maintenance contract expires in less than a month - what then?

PartMaker is no longer available as a separate product, as you say. It is now part of FeatureCAM Ultimate.
In practical terms, nothing will change. You will carry on using PartMaker, it will just have a different name.
If you continue your maintenance, again nothing will change. Your perpetual licence will simply continue.

Thanks for the response. So, if we continue the maintenance with our perpetual license, do we continue to have support? Do we get service packs and updates when they are released?
I read about the role of "Contract Manager", which is new to us. How can find out who, if anyone, is our Contract Manager? I am looking at the account management page, and I don't see FeatureCAM or Partmaker listed.

All customers, whether on maintenance or subscription, will continue to get updates, new releases, and support.
Your Contract Manager will be your local Autodesk supplier. In most cases this will be the same person/organization that you bought PartMaker from initially.

My profile is the same way. Do anyone know how we can get Featurecam to show up? That way we can get updates through the Autodesk website.

I suspect Autodesk has to attach your license to your account, or vise-versa.
We received an email similar to "Your Autodesk order has been processed" and it included instructions

Yes, I think there is some "man behind the curtain" manipulation required. I had to contact Brian DiNola who was and continues to be our source for all things PartMaker. My account page now shows me everything I wanted and more. He tells me the local Autodesk resellers cannot sell the (former) Delcam products. According to this morning's webinar, we're covered just like we were with Delcam. And great things are happening in the future, more details to come.

So as a current Partmaker user should I be downloading and installing Featurecam Ultimate? Its now visible from my Autodesk account or do I just carry on with Partmaker, what are the differences? will it mean new posts?

Thanks for the reply!
So is Partmaker integrated into Featurecam or a totally separate software? Will we ever be able to generate code for our machine (Citizen M32 Sliding Head) using Featurecam? After watching a few videos it looks like Featurecam simulation is better than Partmaker.

PartMaker is installed with FeatureCAM as a package. Once the installation is complete, they are two separate things. So, I guess the installation is integrated, but in use they are not integrated. PartMaker is practically identical to the previous version - maybe I should say reassuringly familiar. I have desktop icons for PartMaker Mill, PartMaker Swiss CAM, PartMaker Turn, PartMaker TurnMill, and FeatureCAM.

At an Featurecam/Partmaker/Powermill customer session last week at IMTS, I believed a customer express your desire to have one post for all three software packages. If not, then the Delcam/Autodesk team said they are working on it. They are not sure if it possible but their was at least some discussion about have one machine post for all three software packages.

So im currently running Partmaker 2016 R2 SP1 (64-bit) V16.1, Is that what will install If I go ahead and install the latest version of Featurecam? Also would that now make my USB dongle redundant?

Featurecam and PartMaker will install as version 2017. version 2017 no longer requires a dongle for either module.

Is there a list of fixs/changes that I could look at for the 2017 version, I was hoping for the pinch turning simulation to be sorted out and also there was an issue with some code output on a certain operation that we were doing that had nothing to do with the post. Bill Shields said it needed a software fix.
PS where is the "Accept as Solution" button?

The 'Accept as Solution' button is the big green one directly under the 'Reply' and 'Quick reply' buttons. It may not show up, though, if somebody has already hit it as part of an earlier reply.

Tstudley,
I know the pinch in Simulation has not been fixed yet. We spent most of our time moving the software to Autodesk. Here is the What's new .chm help file for PartMaker 2017.
