I've created a file of a problem I'm having on other parts. I want to put a large weld bevel (45 degree) on the side of a 1" thick plate. I want to rough this with an end mill and finish with a chamfer mill. Featurecam roughs just fine; however, It doesn't want to finish the chamfer mill all the way to the bottom. Any suggestions?

Hi,
Probably there are a bug to how the tool be calculated. Because if you put an extra material on X-minus then you can run to the bottom. see link.,

This did work on the sample file I sent you. However, with the part I am actually working on, I have cut a stock curve and X and Y move are grayed out.
I've attached that file.

Most of cases I think it's easier to create a surface. See the attached file. I ahve tried to make a toolpath with "isoline" and "z-level"

Yes. I have tried that in the past. The code is always longer even after arc fitting the output options. I will try it again and see if I have any luck.

So if I understand right the controller is a Fanuc and the postprocessor you use is for a haas?

Yes. I started with a Haas post processor and then modified it to fit my machine--Fanuc 15m.

In this case for short program I think this is the best shot I have. If you have space enough then you made the feature a little bit deeper. I have tried to adjust then to 1inch, then you have a clean cut. See link. https://www.screencast.com/t/x1mBnIJSbHyR

@abhishek.juvekar This seems to work. The total stock has to be added to the rough milling attribute. The roughing toolpaths have always worked. I have tried total stock in the finishing milling attributes with no luck. However, adding it to the rough milling worked.
