FeatureCAM with Solidworks PDM
Is anyone else using FeatureCAM with Solidworks and Solidworks PDM? We recently moved to Solidworks and thier PDM system for all of our CAD data. Everytime I try importing a file from the PDM Vault it crashes FeatureCAM. I don't believe we are the only company out there doing this.
I am running FC V2018.2.0.119 and Solidworks 2017.
Our ultimate goal is to have FC part files saved in the Vault also.
Anyone?

Just tried it. Worked for me. Did a drag and drop of a 2017 .SLDPRT file from Vault into FeatureCAM and no problems.

What version of PDM are you using? My original post is a little misleading. I can import from the vault no problem. The issue is when I go to save a part file or import additional models, the open/save dialog opens in a vault directory, if I try to navigate to any other directory FC crashes at this point. Can you save your part file to a different directory after importing the model? So I just did some testing. I usually import models by using the import command. I tried dragging the model in then saving it to a vault directory and it worked. The problem has something to do with navigating around the open/save dialog if it opens in a vault directory. Thanks for pointing this out. https://www.screencast.com/t/t755YqSxh3l
