Ramp angles are different
Specified ramp angle: 45 degrees.
Some ramps are 45 degrees, some are more like 5 degrees.

This has always been a tricky one to get to perform proper. I find that by defining a start point on a long edge, I can get it to behave properly:
The dev I'd like to talk to about this is out (different time zone) so I'll raise this with them tomorrow

AhhhH!!! Thanks @DarthBane55 !!! I only had to set maximum ramp step down to 1" instead of 0.25" and that made it work perfectly.

The ramp will limit itself to your max stepdown, per complete revolution and 'ignore' the angle. It's always been like this.
