I am having issues creating/editing thread turning tools. I can create a thread turning tool but it is giving me the error "This tool is missing some required data. Press the 'Edit Tool' button to fix problems in it.". As far as I can tell all data for the tool is filled out. Additionally, if I copy one of the sample thread turning tools into my library and edit it, I get the same error even if I don't actually change anything (I just click the 'Edit' button and then click 'Accept'). Is there something I am doing wrong or is there a bug in the software.

@Anonymous
Yes, there does seem to be a bug when trying to edit the threading tools in the Tool Library.
You can edit the tool if you go via the operation Edit Tool, it will edit then and save.
Hope an Autodesk person picks up on this and gets it fixed

Thanks for bringing this up. I'm not certain if this is a known issue at the moment, but it's going to be looked into and hopefully I have more to offer at some point...

I am having the same issues, but it won't even let me select the threading tool for the toolpath to begin with. So I cant go in through that way. Any ideas? The tools in the library have been used before, I made a minor edit and now it wont work.

Same issue here as well. I have a slew of parts that need threads cut and I'm unable to even create a new tool to turn threads with. Currently turning threads DOES NOT work in fusion if you don't have a pre-existing tool that somehow got grandfathered in from last patch. This is a huge problem. I'm dead in the water until this is hot fixed or patched in someway.

WORKAROUND ONLY !!!
OK everyone, before anyone starts on about a "FIX" this is NOT a fix, hopefully it will be fixed very, very soon but in the meantime maybe this will help a few folks get some work done

Oh BTW, yes I did make a mistake in the screencast, I referred to the tool I was selecting as a turning tool instead of a threading tool, verbal "typo", please ignore

I will now try to get the screencast to "stick" in this post, I usually seem to have to make everal attempts

Anyway, it is what it is, if it helps then great if not then just ignore it, best I can do so please don`t start ripping it to shreds, it does have Audio

Or....you could turn the new tool library off in Preferences > Preview Features
