Keeping The Tool Down Is Impossible

I have to machine a part with a lot of slots and I can't keep the tool down. This increases the machining time considerably. Is there any way to fix this? Please check the attached file. Thanks in advance.

Bit of a strange workaround for you, I tried using multiple depths with the keep tool down option and it seems to do the job, also  did a full diameter drill operation just for clarity and speed in the simulation. (assuming you would probably mill them out anyway)  :slightly_smiling_face:

Anyway, have a look at the attached file and give it a try, even if it only points you in the right direction, there are probably much better ways to do what you need but if not this might do for now :slightly_smiling_face:

When I checked your file I saw that heights are not correct. However your solution was basically true, I just played with the heights and now it is working fine. Thanks for your help.

:slightly_smiling_face: :slightly_smiling_face: :slightly_smiling_face: Well, I did say it was just something to maybe point you towards a way round your problem :slightly_smiling_face: :slightly_smiling_face: :slightly_smiling_face:

Anyway, as long as you are able to go forward from my poor example then all is good :slightly_smiling_face: :slightly_smiling_face: :slightly_smiling_face:

I am sure there are probably more and better ways to do it, hopefully someone else will put some forward !!
