Milling text on a cylinder

I am using 2D Contour and Wrap Toolpath to "engrave" multiple lines of text on a cylinder. I have done this successfully many times before. I am now encountering issues with the milling result.  Everything appears to work, and simulation looks good. On the Tormach mill, the milling result is exactly as the simulation appears when wrap toolpath is not used. In other words the text closest to the cylinder is milled, bit the mill does not touch the cylinder away from that center line.

I have all of the latest software as well as the latest Tormach post files. I have tried this multiple times, even making new designs and manufacturing setups and operations from scratch, and had the same results.

Could the part be slipping? can you draw a black line on the centre and on the part, then you will see if its somehow slipping

Is your WCS set to the center of rotation?

Is your part actually round and concentric? If there is any runout in your assembly, that could certainly be giving you issues..

Can you share your file?

File > Export > Save to local folder. Return to thread and attach the .f3d file in your reply

Hi Seth,

Thanks for the help.  It was in fact the WCS / center of rotation.  I had learned it early on and somehow spaced it as a requirement and picked a point on the top edge of the cylinder.  I guess I then got caught up in the fact that it produced the right result in simulation, but not on the mill.  Thanks for getting me back where I needed to be.
