How to modify the lead in to restrict to model top...

I'm trying to surface my table top and and I am at the extents of my machine. The center of the surfacing bit should enter on 0 of the Y axis, however it extends beyond the limit of the machine... I'm guessing for ramping purposes???

Does anyone know how to address this problem?

Set stock offset, then do contour on each end to get leftovers.

Many thanks for the reply.

Why the need for the contour?

What determines the space between the new contour and the spoil board? I would guess 1/2 bit width but in your drawing it's 1" and I'm using a 2 1/2" bit...

Just trying to understand the process...

Look at cutting conditions and stock offset, you can shrink or expand the coverage then do contour to get leftover but not cross edge of table with tool.

Just showing concept, didn't care about tool size.

I have one more additional question to this problem...

How can I get the entry and exit points of a contour on the inside of the model?

They are always on the outside moving in.

Hold down Alt key and click on individual edge or let go of Alt key and click on any edge to select all 4.

After selecting geometry, red arrow appears next to blue line, click on arrow to select which side you want your tool to cut
