4th axis swarf?

Hello Gents,

I would like to ask some help with 4 axis simultaneous milling.

The picture shows 2 highlighted surfaces what i would like to machine.

I have tried to make them with swarf (4 axis limit) but didn't find proper way to make the toolpath.

Can somebody help me?

Attached the file.

Thank you

Parallel and contour tool-paths will definitely help here.

Hello,

Thank you for your reply.

Yes, i can machine it parellel with a ball end mill but it takes so long. This is just a sample part to show some of the features what i have to machine. I can not share the original one but side milling with 4 axis could be the best solution in this case. I would like to solve it somehow.

If you go down to the text box at bottom and turn on beta mode (cam.betamode/on) you will be able to set Swarf to "Limit 4 Axis"

Hello,

Yes, i'm in betomode. But it doesn't work for me in this case. Maybe it's just setup issue but i don't find the solution.

My apologies if this sounds snarky; It's Beta mode for a reason

Where and when it works is still hit or miss
