Coordinate setup for angles
I need to bore/tap some holes on an angle.
The plan is to mount it on a sine plate, set the angle and machine.
An alternative is to make some kind of trunnion and use my 4 axis to get the angles.
The problem is how to set up the Coordinates.
Kind of out in space there when the object is tilted.
I have a 5/8" hole available in the center of this plate.
Thinking about inserting a tooling ball there to align from.
It looks like only 1/2" shanks are available so a reducer introduces another variable.
I have not used the ball in an application like this where an angle is involved.
May I assume if I set the plate at the desired angle and then probe the ball 360 will figure out the rest of it?
Thoughts?
Note to developers: How about a way to tilt the view shown in the first picture left or right. Can't quite get it with free orbit.

You can setup a point and a Z axis in a sketch then select in your setup. Below I drawn an "L" rotated 45° offset from the document origin, select a line as the Z and the point as the origin.
