Ok, here is my problem. I have tried this using almost every choice available and I cannot get a resolution. Below is a link to a video done by another person called cutting points. In the video you can watch as the 90 edging bit is used to cut a v-groove along a straight line the groove is at about a 2.5 degree taper. I can set my 4th axis on a 2.5 degree offset but I still have the same issue. The block that I have the groove in won't let me select the bottom edge of the groove for engraving or 2d adaptive clearing or any of the other including 3d cam choices so that I can cut the groove in multiple depths as is done in the video. I was hoping to not have to write the program by hand but unless there is one of you out there that can help I might just have to dust of my old machining book and write it out. Thank you in advance for anyone that helps.
