Sandvik prime turning post
Hello.
Is there any work or progress on a post or update for the Sandvik prime turning technology ?
This is what prime turning is :

I know one HSM power-user is working on one for his shop.
@Laurens-3DTechDraw, would you like to comment on your progress and do you have any knowledge if Autodesk is going to include this technology in the generic turning posts?

Thanks for tagging me in this.
Yes I've been working together with the team to get this implemented.
There is no ETA but the intention is to implement it.
This is me using the tools: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C88bdiIthK8&
I hacked away with the current paths until I had something I can work with. So for now it's not really programmable but should be in the future.
To be clear there is no need for post updates, everything needed would/should be implemented in the toolpath operation it's self.

I'm sure I can figure out a reliable tool path, what do you use for custom insert geometry? Imagine a world where we could just use the tooling companies downloadable model... ![]()

Obviously you need radial grooving enabled to have this work, would be nice if fusion had a minimum groove entry option a bit like minimum radius in milling toolpaths! Rather than having to create a clunky sketch profile ![]()
