I need to clear an area around a cylinder on a stock that is a cylinder. I select the top rim of the cylinder I want to clear and the surface I want to clear down to. I have a couple of questions where I don't think I am getting it.
1. Using a .75 Shearhog to clear the material. The default cut was enormous, .3. I am wondering if I am just assuming too much on the ability of the software to know this is too much. I can get the behavior I want by modifying the Optimal Load parameter in the Passes tab.
2. Is there anyway to have this operation ramp down slowly? Meaning, I could take the larger single cut towards the center, but ramp the clearing down slowly and around the cylinder.
Relatively new to this and thinking I am missing something. Thanks in advance for any pointers.
