Getting Setup Sheets in Fusion 360 Mobile App

Looking for some help or guidance in how to export or save a setup sheet so that it can be accessed in the mobile application. I have seen other posts on this by doing a search on the forum, but no detailed solutions.

What I am looking for specifically is the setup sheet to display in the app, so that I can see stock size, machining origin, and tool library for the CAM post in the application, so that I don't have to print a hard copy.

Thanks for the help,

Matt

Hi @westswoodcreations

Welcome to the Fusion 360 online community! Thanks for posting.

One way to save setup sheets so they are accessible from the mobile app is to save to your computer and then upload the sheet into the Fusion folder of your A360 cloud storage. The setup sheet will then be saved to your A360 drive, making it available in the Fusion 360 dashboard within the mobile application.

I would recommend making a "Setup Sheets" folder within the Fusion folder of your A360 page to keep everything organized.

I also think that a default option to save to a "Setup Sheets" folder on the cloud so they could be accessible through the mobile app would be a great addition to the Fusion 360 Ideastation! You'd have my vote.

Hopefully this helps! Please let me know if you have any questions.

Paul,

Thanks for the help. Obviously the solution takes a little work around step, but it works, and I got what i needed. Good thinking.

I'm still learning many of the fusion 360 utilities, but I think I'll work on a suggestion to submit to the Ideastation.

In my mind, having used the mobile app just briefly, it seems that when you open a design in the mobile app under the "Designs" menu there is a display for the model and your "setups"; it seems to me that under this menu or in the individual setup's "properties" tab, the default post could include the setup sheet.

But for now, problem solved. Thanks

Matt

Hi Matt -

Your idea has a lot of similarity to one that we're likely to take on this coming year -- to be able to post "NC Programs" into Fusion Team (A360) as models are saved.

This could certainly include setup sheet-style information.

We haven't worked through this concept, and so we're open to any ideas (like the above) that you or others have.

Paul's right that you could do much of this yourself with a postprocessor, but that would be a lot of work (with the Forge API) to automate, or something manual.

Thanks for the idea -- please do post it to the idea station.

Happy New Year!

Jeff

Thanks Jeff,

I was going to post it to the idea station, but I found a link to a similar idea https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/ideastation-request-a-feature-or/setup-sheet-or-similar-in-the-fusion...

I guess it would be bad forum etiquette to repost more or less the same suggestion.

Best Regards,

Matthew
