Orthomodel/Orthomill user looking to use post processor info for Fusion 360

Hello all, We have been using Autodesk's Orthomodel and OrthoMill to design and mill foot orthotics for about 4 years. While I have a lot of experience with those applications I am very green with Fusion 360. I am looking to further utilize our Freedom Patriot 4x4 with Fagor 8037 and auto change spindle to do production of parts for our other types of fabrication. I’ve successfully designed a part in Fusion 360 and now I am onto the post processing. From my research this is one of the more challenging areas for users as far as all the different types of machines and options. I was wondering if I can take any of the configuration files from OrthoMill (which appears to be a skinned version of powermill) for the post processing and bring them into Fusion 360. I’ve attached a PIM file of what our current export looks like for reference. Thank you in advance for any advice!

For the most part, post processors for one program are typically incompatible with other platforms. One exception to this statement is the HSM line of CAM products. Inventor, Solidworks HSM and Fusion 360 all share the same kernel. Between the 3, you can share posts.

You have proven programs, and that is a huge step forward in sorting you out.

For starters, I'd encourage you to use the generic Fagor post that ships with Fusion. Yes, there are going to be slight differences in the format, but it might be very close to what you are looking for. If it gives you alarms and such, note carefully what they are and on what line it occurs.

If there are notes on one line but you want it on another, that's simple enough and purely cosmetic.

You want to make sure the meat of the program is proper.

Post out a SIMPLE job with the Fagor processor and attemp to run it. Note all errors. Mark up the code with RED text indicating added lines
