Any tips on how to remove these lead-in / lead out cusps in this Contour strat?

Hey all,

I'm running a contour with a 1/4" ball at 0.01 to try and get a really good surface finish on this contour, but I'm left with these cusps that coincide with where the tool likes to lead in and lead out on passes. I'm wondering if there is a good way to remove them, or if another strat like GEO might be better for this.

Overall tips on this for the surface finish and improving the strat are appreciated!

Hi

the problem is with the boundary selections, there are multiple face selections which are causing the tool to lead in/out in odd spots

If you select one single closed boundary, change the Tool Containment to "Tool center on boundary", Turn on Contact point boundary and set the additional offset to -tolerance it will work properly

I was going to suggest using the Blend toolpath but you have some tiny mismatches in the fillets which will mess up the drive curves

I'm trying Geo right now as it looks like it sweeps over the lead in area
too which could help. Thank you for the suggestions. Yes trying to match
the shape of the original, so having to make some small tweaks to that
fillet to get it right.
