3D Adaptive: Tool mills lopsided + no tooltips?

Ok so here's the model [Yes I know this would be better in a lathe] and stock for the first setup:

Here's what the stock looks like when setup 1 is complete:

Here's the stock settings for setup 2:

Now in setup 2 I have a 3D Adaptive toolpath. No matter what stock definition settings I choose the tool will not do what I need it to do.

If I choose to define the stock as "Stock contours" and check off "Use setup stock silhouette it does mill what I need it to but it's 95% air cutting:

If I choose to define the stock as "Rest" without "reduce air cutting" checked the tool air cuts a lot and mills the part lopsided like it's trying to stay away from one side. This results in extra stock on one side:

If I enable "reduce air cutting" there is no more air cutting, but it actually leaves more extra stock on one side:

Tooltips never pop up for these rest machining settings so hard to tell exactly how the new settings work. I just get the mini ones that are redundant text:

Any ideas what's going on?

Rest of the operations settings:

Is this Insider build (or Production with Insider access)?
I think the tooltip issue is because these are "work in progress" options and the tips aren't implemented yet.

Is there anything in your Setup "selected model" that it's trying to avoid? Could you share the file here? (this does look like a bug)

I'm definitely not using the Insider version. Don't think I have "Insider access" in my production version.

I will not be sharing my files publicly, sorry.

Should be same model:

It appears there's an upper limit to how many times you can have Setups with "From Preceding Setup" and "Continue Rest Machining". If we drag that Pin Op1/2 to the top of the Browser tree, we get this:

Upon closer investigation, this does appear to be an issue with the 3D Adaptive "Rest Machining > From Previous Operations". For some reason it's picking up the "B" fixture when it calculates. Setting it to "From Setup Stock" produces a correct toolpath. I've raised this with the appropriate developer and will let you know if a ticket results from the conversation

I'm having a similar issue. Let me know if you want a new post.

Setup model:

Results with rest machining enabled [air cuts nothing inches away from part/stock]:

Results without rest machining [as expected]:

Toolpath was copied from this toolpath from a different setup:
