Avoiding welded bolts in 2D Face milling

How can I 2D Face mill the top of the pink surface and avoid the bolts that are welded in? I have identified the bolts as part of the fixture, and it would not avoid these, I also choose all of the bolt holes and it still did not work.

Why not program it as a 2D pocket?

You can try leaving the bolts as part of your Model and then just selecting the Pink area and using  2D Pocket toolpath which should go around the Bolts treating them as Islands. See example image below for a guess at what you are asking for. If yes the see attached example file

Just done a short video that may help you understand why that toolpath was chosen :slightly_smiling_face:
