Rotary contour ramp or helix and 3d deburr
Hello Fusion world,
I am trying to work through two different challenges on this part.
I was doing the rotary op on a mill, but need to run it all on the lathe. Material is 304 stainless and plunging into the window pockets breaks tools. I need to ramp or helix in. I can't make the tool path do that.
Second,
I am trying to find a strategy to use a lolipop mill to break the edge on the inside diameter of the part after the windows are cut out. I've not been able to figure out how to do this with only having 4axis available.

For the Rotary contour, being that it is a Finishing toolpath there are no helix or ramping options, You could use a 2d contour to helix a hole in first where the tool will lead in.
I'm assuming you don't want to mill away all the material, just mill around and drop the chunks out, otherwise I would suggest using 2D adaptive with wrap.
For back deburring I haven't been able to come up with a solution that works with a lollipop but you can do this quite easily with a double angle chamfer cutter and use 2d contour with wrap.
