Converting Machined stock into a body

Hey F360 and others,

I was wondering if fusion has a feature that will allow you to after you have given tool paths and machined a stock down a rough part, to then take that rough part/stock and turn it into its own body. Ideally I would like to machine the stock down to a rough part. Then take that rough part, rotate 90 degrees and machine away to rough areas. FYI, it is not possible to clear the part to its desired without rotation.

Thanks!

Not exactly in the manner you are hoping to do.

Couple of things you can do:

Fusion doesn't care how the part is loaded or oriented. Copy your Setup and have it rotated in the direction that the new setup would be, continue machining. You would need to put in a Manual NC comment to make sure you know to move the part (you can insert an M0 here)

Second thing you could do: Copy your solid model with stock added wherever the roughing tool would have left material. Use this for your next setup

Third: Run CAM Simulation through the roughing tools. Right Click > Stock > Save Stock. This would allow you to save the stock out as an .stl. THere are some issues with that workflow, but it's been a while since I've done that and I know the latest Mesh update might have made things a bit better.
