Hi
Is it possible to do the following?
I use 3d pocket clearing with a high feed cutter (full WOC and small DOC).
I would like to leave some extra stock after each Z pass? So the wall will have a draft? This results in a smoother toolpath and machining.
Currently I make extra toolpaths and increase stock to leave for each specific depth. But this will cost a lot of time.

There is no direct method of doing this in the toolpath, but you could define your tool with some "shaft" segments:
Assuming your tool is a straight shank, with no portion of the shank being larger than the tool diameter itself, this would give you a toolpath like this (the pocket being milled is a straight walled pocket):
Now, Simulation is going to show a lot of collisions, but if your tool is in fact a straight shank, these would be false collisions. As you can see in the image above, a good portion of the cut is incrementally tapered. (not sure why it's not all tapered, will continue poking at it as time allows)

I set the flute/shoulder length to a small size like 1mm.
Added a shaft like you mentioned.
And now I get perfect tapered walls.
Big thanks!
Only downside is the collision detection. But this will work for now
